I'm so famous they named a book after me...!

I'm just kidding!!! :la: - but still there is a book out there called "The Devil's Horizon" by a guy called Matt Tomerlin who quotes himself as being "Author of the unnecessarily violent Devil's Fire pirate series." - sounds interesting! Not heard of the series before but PIRATES peaks my interest... so I might be giving that a go on my iPad Kindle App soon!! :D
Oh another note, I owe some features to some really amazing people who entered my contest for Filine & Orealis - "It's Not A Momentary Phase"; scroll down and check 'em out!! :boogie:

Spring Alliance Contest!
 Greetings, luminous Allies! It is my pleasure to announce the Spring Alliance Contest!

What is the Alliance, you ask?
The Alliance is a project group intended to encourage visual and literary artists to work together. I've felt for some time that the dA Literature Community can at times be somewhat insular - to its detriment. We in the Lit Community are also sometimes prone to griping about the lack of exposure our work receives when compared to that of visual artists. So in the spirit of ^thorns brilliant Complaint Challenge I thought I would try to do something about that. And so the Alliance was

March's Giveaway [CLOSED]
Spring is almost upon us and the weather is about to get warmer. It's time to let good things grow with a nice giveaway! Before we get to that, let's take a look at what I've been up to. I'm getting married! Tyler (my fiance) and I have chosen March 29th, 2014 as our tentative date and our colours are the springiest - daffodil yellow and spring green! I do love the colours of spring. I haven't had much chance to work on Autodidactivist, but I hope to get around to it soon. Have you heard of UnCollege? I am giving away a $30 Amazon GC to one lucky winner that is a member of the UnCollege Network. If you're interested, check it out here on Auto

Inspiration, Critique, and Features
I've been doing a little bit of reflecting since my first dA commission. I found that I went above and beyond what the commissioner paid for; I don't regret it, it just makes me wonder.
Did that person realize the work that went into the piece - work that I didn't necessarily need to do?Does extra work in one area excuse me putting less effort into another area - from giving up on something I could do better, merely because I'd already spent so long on the entire piece? Is it within an artist's rights to charge more, should the final product fit into another area - or should that only be reserved if the commissioner makes additional requests
